Job Purpose
To lead and transform the quality function across our Asia sourcing organization, ensuring proactive, data-driven, and customer-focused quality management. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small team (5 engineers and 1 coordinator) while influencing a large supplier base (~600 factories) across Asia.
The role will drive supplier development, preventive quality strategies, and contribute to commercial success through improved product quality, customer satisfaction, and reduced cost of goods sold. High visibility and opportunity to shape sourcing strategy. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who challenges traditional ways of working and drives continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and develop the regional quality team across offices in Shanghai, HCMC, and New Delhi. Preferred base in Shanghai or Ho Chi Minh City with frequent travel across Asia.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and proactive problem-solving.
Collaborate closely with HQ in Sweden and internal stakeholders to align and deliver towards goals.
Quality Management
Implement preventive quality systems and foster a mindset that anticipates and mitigates risks early in the process
Ensure Quality & Compliance is secured by and at the supplier level
Develop and maintain clear, written quality standards and inspection protocols.
Supplier Development
Evaluate and improve top suppliers with dated action plans and progress tracking.
Support sourcing expansion outside China by ensuring quality readiness of new suppliers.
Data & Reporting
Own monthly reporting on claims, reviews, inspection results, and supplier performance.
Analyze customer feedback and inspection data to drive long-term improvements. Ensure actions directly improve customer satisfaction and reduce claims.
Product & Commercial Contribution
Engage deeply with products to understand & ensure functionality and customer value are secured on product news as well as running assortment
Contribute to cost-down initiatives and product development decisions.
Reduce/remove unnecessary sample and documentation handling by improving supplier qualification and risk-based product evaluation processes. Shorten leadtime from Idea to Customer
Cross-Function Collaboration
Work closely with Product Quality & Compliance, Product management and Sourcing teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
Communicate effectively across cultures and functions.
Who are you?
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years in quality management/engineering in a sourcing/manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of leading improvement work quality/efficiency/cost
Proven ability to lead change and implement preventive quality systems
Experience working across multiple Asian countries.
Engineering background preferred; commercial mindset essential.
Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Digital Quality Tools Experience – Familiarity with platforms for inspection analytics, supplier scorecards, and real-time dashboards.
Change Management Skills – Ability to lead transformation in a legacy environment and bring the team along.
Training & Capability Building – Experience in upskilling QA teams and suppliers to be more self-reliant.
Sustainability & Compliance Awareness – Understanding of environmental and social compliance in quality processes.
Customer Journey Thinking – Ability to connect product quality with customer satisfaction and brand perception.
